Established on a flat elevation, deep within Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, contemporary-yet-classic in style, the residence blends-in sensitively with the dramatic African mountain landscape. Uniquely situated inside the national park, minutes away from the start of your gorilla trekking adventure. The camp boasts an unrivalled location with exceptional wildlife and birdlife viewing opportunities. Safari tents feature queen-sized beds and generous bathtubs that look out onto the forest canopy. Keep an eye out for the family of gorillas that visits the camp four to six times per month. Guests can sample delicious fare or enjoy an evening drink in the cosy bar and dining cottage overlooking the rainforest.

Exclusive camp and ecologically respectful, with specially customised sedan chairs with support and harness allows less able guests to be supported into the rainforest to track the gorillas in their natural habitat, which sets the sanctuary safari camp apart.

In fine weather, meals are served al-fresco on a raised natural platform that blends into the surroundings and after a long day of gorilla trekking, soak your tired muscles in the deep bathtub and gaze out onto a spectacular view of the forest as you relive the day’s adventures. Sample the local banana beer and learn how to pluck tea leaves when you visit the local community.
