Explora Journeys Africa was founded and established by Jonas Tushemukyire whose commitment to wildlife conservation, sports safaris and hospitality is regionally renowned across Africa particularly in Uganda. Born in the immediate neighborhood of the World-renowned UNESCO and nature’s conservation zone;- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, one of the only three iconic and renowned destinations for the commended wilderness excursion of trekking the endangered and rarest of the primates “mountain gorillas” in their natural habitat across Africa and around the world. Bwindi National Park is bordered by Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda and Virunga National Park in DRC, which are the other two wilderness conversation sanctuaries celebrated for mountain gorillas.
As a resident to the staunch and immediate wildlife conversation zone where gorilla trekking was and persistently remains the prime wilderness experience for adventure enthusiasts from around the world, during the school holidays, Jonas served as a student porter committedly supporting discerning travel guests during their gorilla trekking excursions for an experience within and around Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Over time and well-grounded with nature’s conservation, hospitality, sports and adventure knowledge, Jonas’ routine livelihood became inseparable from wilderness adventure safaris’ activities and the imagination of the overall hospitality industry for discerning travellers impelled his founding of: Explora Journeys Africa:-entirely a luxury tour operator and wilderness conservation company that organizes private guided, extraordinary, ultra-luxury and tailor-made adventure safaris for discerning travellers from around the world to ONLY renowned wilderness sanctuaries and iconic destinations across Africa.
